Once you have booked your stay our agreement is a legal contract. A non-refundable deposit of £40.00 per room will be taken for any telephone booking. For online bookings the card details provided are used to secure the reservation and will be used in the event of a cancellation or no-show.
If you need to cancel please give as much notice as possible. For cancellations made up to seven days before the start of your visit you will not be asked to pay anything more than the £40.00 deposit. For cancellations made after this you will be charged for a single night. For failing to take up the booking without cancelling you will be liable for the total cost of your booking. For this reason you may wish to take out travel insurance.
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or acceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
We do not accept any liability for damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
We ask that our home and fellow guests are respected and by signing in on arrival you and the members of your party are accepting the following terms and conditions:
Please do not smoke inside the premises as it is against the law. Guests may smoke in the grounds away from the house.
Please do not tamper with any fire alarms or emergency equipment.
You must not remove, wilfully damage or destroy any of our property.
You must not use our WiFi service to download or access any unlawful or obscene material.
You must be considerate of other guests and not cause unreasonable disturbance.
If you or your group cause damage or loss of any kind to our home and property, or to other guests or their property, you (as the person making the booking), will be responsible for that damage or loss and you shall be liable to pay us the amount required to make good or remedy such damage or loss. A fee of £60.00 is charged for lost or non-returned keys.
You and the members of your group must not transfer your reservation without written permission from us and we reserve the right to refuse occupancy to unexpected arrivals.
If you or your group breach any of these terms and conditions we reserve the right to cancel your reservation with immediate effect and will prohibit access to our premises. We will retain all sums paid by you and/or charge you the full amount of your reservation.
You may settle your account at any time during your stay. We accept cash and most credit/debit cards. Please note that there are no surcharges for payments byCREDIT or DEBIT card. We do not accept American Express cards.
Check in is from3.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Check out is before 10.30am. If you are unable to check in before 7.00pm, please arrange an alternative check in time when you book.

In connection with the services we provide, we may collect the following data:
A: Contact information, including title, name, address, passport number and nationality (overseas visitors only), telephone number, e-mail address and any special requests including specific dietary requirements if appropriate.

Most of the data that we have about you are provided by you. We may also receive A, B, C, and D data from our partners, such as Booking.com and Expedia, when they supply us with information concerning your reservation. The data processor for online bookings through our website (www.martongrange.co.uk) is the Queensborough Group in cooperation with sub-processors Hotelhost Company and Rackspace. We advise you to read the Privacy Policies of any third party agents involved in the booking process.
4. WHY WE USE YOUR DATA
We process your personal data for the following reasons:
Making a reservation and the facilitation of your stay
We usedata to organise, process and confirm bookings for you. The data is used to provide you with relevant information related to your stay. This includes information related to arrival and departure dates, check-in times, terms and conditions of your reservation etc. We may provide such information by electronic or other means.
Legal basis:We use such data to provide important information about your stay that is necessary to fulfil our contract with you (the provision of Bed and Breakfast accommodation at Marton Grange).
We collect a passport number because of an obligation to provide such data to UK authorities. In addition, we need to collect data to make sure that any allergies, disabilities or illnesses you may have are considered during your stay with us and that we provide the services and products to facilitate your stay.

5. HOW LONG WE STORE YOUR DATA FOR
We will store your data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose of the processing of your data for your active reservation.
We will store yourA, C and Ddata from the point in time when you placed a booking request until your stay is completed. We will storeBdata as required by applicable law, such as bookkeeping legislation.
If you have consented to receiving information and marketing or where we believe we have a legitimate interest in providing you with future service, we will store yourA, C and D, data unless you have requested its removal.
We may also store yourA, B, C, and Ddata for a period of five years after your stay ended for tax purposes or if we believe this is necessary to handle potential complaints or claims.
6. DATA SECURITY
We use appropriate procedures to safeguard your information on our computer system including firewalls, password protection, use of https secure data transfer, PCI-DSS compliance. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet isn't completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of information you send to us that is outside of our security arrangements; any transmission is at your own risk.
We also operate strict physical security and employees receive security and data protection awareness training.
7. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF DATA
We do not transfer any of your data to other countries.
